2026 Pricing Guide
How much does junk removal cost in the Twin Cities?
Short answer: most jobs run between $75 for a single item and $600–$800 for a full truckload. Pricing is by volume — the room your stuff takes in our truck — so you get one upfront, all-in price with no hourly clock and no surprises.
Junk removal price by load size
We price by how much of the truck you fill. Here's the ballpark for each size:
Single item
one couch, fridge, or mattress
A few items
a small pile
¼ truck
small room
½ truck
garage corner
¾ truck
big cleanout
Full truck
the whole space
Includes all labor, loading, hauling, and cleanup. We recycle & donate what we can. Final price is always confirmed before we lift a thing.
Common item & cleanout prices
Rough ballparks — bundling items together lowers the per-item cost.
What affects the price
Volume — how much room it takes
The biggest driver. We price by the space your stuff fills in the truck, not by the hour, so you're never on a clock.
Weight & material
Heavy debris like concrete, dirt, brick, or roofing costs more to haul and dump than light household clutter.
Access & labor
Stairs, tight doorways, long carries, or a backyard hot tub take more crew effort than a curbside pickup.
Disposal & recycling fees
Some items (mattresses, appliances, e-waste, tires) carry facility fees we fold into one all-in price.
Junk removal vs. renting a dumpster
Full-service hauling
- We do all the lifting & loading
- Same-day or same-week pickup
- Pay only for the space you use
- No permit, no driveway blocked
- We recycle & donate what we can
Dumpster rental
- You load it yourself
- Sits 3–7 days blocking the driveway
- ~$300–$600 + permit fees
- May need a city permit
- You haul nothing — but lift everything
For a single couch or a garage corner, full-service hauling is usually cheaper and far easier. For a multi-week renovation where you generate debris daily, a dumpster can win — though we also do recurring construction-debris pickups.
Junk removal cost FAQ
How much does junk removal cost in the Twin Cities?+
Most jobs land between $75 for a single item and $600–$800 for a full truckload. The exact price depends on how much room your items take in the truck, plus weight, access, and any disposal fees. You always get one upfront, all-in price before we lift a thing.
How is the price calculated?+
We price by volume — the fraction of our truck your stuff fills — not by the hour. That means no surprise overtime: you see the full price (labor, loading, hauling, and cleanup) before the job starts.
Is junk removal cheaper than renting a dumpster?+
For most small-to-mid jobs, yes. A dumpster rental runs roughly $300–$600 plus permits, and you load it yourself over several days while it blocks your driveway. With GoneHaul, we show up, do all the lifting, and haul it the same day — you only pay for the space your junk actually takes.
Do you charge for an estimate?+
Never. Quotes are free with no obligation. Text a photo of your pile to (612) 493-2896 and we'll send an honest ballpark, then confirm the exact price on-site before we start.
Are there any hidden fees?+
No. Your price includes all labor, loading, hauling, cleanup, and disposal/recycling fees. The number we quote is the number you pay.
What's the minimum charge?+
Our minimum is a single-item pickup starting around $75. Bundling a few items together is almost always cheaper per item than separate trips.
